Colour: white

Grapes: Garganega, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio

Flavour:  flora and fruit with a light scent of green apple, pear which are actually typical notes of Pinot Grigio.  Ideal as a table wine for every day meals: the Garganega grape gives it the fresh notes that are typical of Lake Garda wines, the Chardonnay grapes enhance the floral notes and the Pinot Grigio give it it’s body.

Character: placid, elegant, authentic.  In a family where the red grapes take the lead, this is the white sheep of the family and this is exactly why it is truly loved.  A perfect white wine to be enjoyed light hearted without actually having to be for a special occasion.

A perfect partner: a simple fish pasta dish, baked lasagna, egg pasta of aubergine parmigian.  This wine particularly likes home made cooking and so is a faithful match with many first course.  It mingles well without stealing the scene, this is why it stands well side by side with fish and steamed or grilled vegetables.

The story behind the wine

This wine takes its name from our late Grandpa’s first vines, Santi.  This is where in origin, the first Bardolino grapes were cultivated (Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara) and also the Garganega. Over time we have taken on other vineyards and the Santi wine is now a blend, that of  Garganega (50%), Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, and the beauty is that it still holds all of the tradition and history of our family.
